Ken Cory, DMD

Dentist/Owner

Dr. Cory was raised in Las Vegas, Nevada, and graduated from the UNLV School of Dental Medicine earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine. After dental school, Dr. Cory lived in Oregon working with underserved patients. Dr. Cory has lived in Montrose, CO since 2008. Dr. Cory is a member of the American Dental Association, Colorado Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.


In his free time, Dr. Cory enjoys the outdoors and spending time with his sons and his two labs. He is an avid skier, fisherman and loves exploring the local mountains and trails on his adventure motorcycle.


Dr. Cory is committed to continuing education and averages 100 hours a year of advanced training in implants, dentures, same day crowns, cosmetics, six-month braces and many other areas of dentistry. Dr. Cory is skilled in dental implant placement and is a member of the International College of Implantologists which advances the study of dental implant surgery and restoration.


Dr. Cory's main goal is for you to have the smile you deserve. Dr. Cory takes great pride in his work and will always treat you like family.

Meet Our Front Office Team

Katelyn and Ana have worked for Dr. Cory for 10 years and have found a passion for dentistry. They are very dedicated to the patients and are here to help with any patient needs.

Katelyn

Office Manager / Treatment Coordinator

Katelyn is our Office Manager and financial coordinator here at Mountain West Smiles. She will help you with understanding your treatment and financial situation in a caring and compassionate way. Katelyn loves working in the dental field and helping patients maintain a healthy and beautiful smile.



Katelyn is from right here in Montrose, CO.  She and her husband are happy to be raising twin boys. In her free time, Katelyn enjoys watching her boys play sports, spending time with her family, hunting, and fishing.

Ana

Hygiene Coordinator

Ana is our front office receptionist and hygiene coordinator.  She will be the first person to greet you at our office and help you schedule your appointments. Ana enjoys being involved with dentistry and learning new things. Her warm and caring personality will put you at ease when you arrive for your appointments.



Ana enjoys spending time with her two daughters, son, and husband. In their downtime, they enjoy traveling and exploring the beautiful mountains of Colorado.

Meet Our Hygienists

With over 30 years of combined experience, Heather and McKenna take pride in helping patients maintain their oral health and receive thorough, compassionate care.

McKenna , RDH

Registered Dental Hygienist

McKenna was born and raised in Montrose, CO. She and her husband are high school sweethearts and have a beautiful baby girl.



McKenna graduated from CNCC in Rangely, CO, and is very passionate about maintaining beautiful, healthy smiles. She is known for her gentle, caring personality and will always make you feel comfortable and cared for during your dental cleanings.

Heather, RDH

Registered Dental Hygienist

Heather grew up in Bozeman, Montana. She, her husband, and her son love the mountains and enjoy spending time outside. Heather received a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from the University of Wyoming in 2000. She takes pride in providing gentle, thorough care and building relationships with her patients.

Our back office dental assistant ensures smooth, comprehensive support to the doctor, enabling efficient and high-quality patient care.

Chenia

Dental Assistant

Chenia is from Alaska, where she has lived her whole life. She comes from a diverse family from all over the world. Her favorite things to do are cooking, baking, and creating art. She is dedicated to helping patients feel comfortable and making them smile.

Dr. Cory and his staff are always very friendly and go out of their way to help their patients. I have had three teeth suddenly break. Dr. Cory was able to fill one and crown the other two. All three were taken care of promptly and in one visit as Dr. Cory is able to build and apply the crown in office. The procedures were fully explained to me in advance and the cost of treatment was very reasonable. I've never had any trouble or pain associated with the repairs. I also have very sensitive teeth and Dr. Cory, as well as his hygienist, have made sure that treatments and routine cleanings are done in a way to prevent any discomfort. Dr. Cory will continue to be my dentist as long as he's in practice.
